We are pleased to announce that the Upper Midwest Pension Rights Project is now Trellis Pension and Retirement Rights. We are a proud program of Trellis.
Our program has grown beyond just serving the Upper Midwest and we proudly serve the states of Minnesota, Wisconsin, Iowa, North Dakota, South Dakota and Nebraska. We remain one of six regional pension counseling projects funded under the Administration on Aging and our services will not change—only our name and look will. As Trellis Pension and Retirement Rights, we remain committed to helping individuals that have legal questions related to their pensions, defined contribution plans (such as 401(k)s and 403(b)s), or profit-sharing plans. Trellis Pension and Retirement Rights will continue to provide legal advocacy and representation in the following areas:
- Represent individuals in the claims and appeals process to obtain benefits.
- Help individuals obtain spousal and survivor benefits.
- Assist individuals in correcting benefit miscalculations or obtaining plan documents.
- Tracking down retirement benefit from previous employers.
- Assist individuals in overpayment and recoupment actions.
The world of retirement income is a complex maze of federal laws, corporate retirement policies and Social Security. As the Upper Midwest Pension Rights Project, we have guided our clients through this maze and we will continue to do so as Trellis Pension and Retirement Rights.
