Reporting abuse or neglect
If you or an adult you know is being mistreated or neglected, there is help. To report suspected abuse or self-neglect, call the Minnesota Adult Abuse Reporting Center (MAARC) at 844-880-1574. This toll-free number is available all hours of the day, 7 days a week.
Ombudsman
The Minnesota’s Office of Ombudsman for Long-Term Care provides information and consultation about consumer rights and the regulations that apply to long-term care facilities, home and community-based settings and home care services. The office handles complaints and problems relating to:
- Quality care/services
- Quality of life
- Rights violations
- Access to services
- Service termination
- Discharge or eviction
- Public benefit programs
