Second Saturday for Caregivers

September 12, 2025

Join Normandale Center for Healing & Wholeness for their free Second Saturday program each month which includes a 90-minute education session beginning at 9:00 am and support group meetings directly afterwards at 10:30 am. The morning education session provides powerful tools and coping skills for you the caregiver.

Respite is available for your loved one from 9:00 am – 12:00 pm with advanced registration.

Caregiver Education: Resilience and Stress-Reduction Techniques: Mindfulness, Yoga, and Qigong

April 8, 2025 @ 4:30 pm – 6:00 pm

This virtual workshop will help participants better identify and understand stress that can accompany caring for someone living with memory and thinking changes. Participants will also learn about and have the opportunity to sample various resilience-building practices, especially mindfulness, yoga, and Qigong. No experience needed! Instructor: Michelle Barclay, MA, RYT200, is a certified yoga teacher with advanced training in Mindfulness-Based Dementia Care who has spent the past 30 years working to help older people thrive, especially those with chronic conditions, including dementia. Powerful Tools for Caregivers

February 7, 2025

Join this 6-week virtual class that aims to help caregivers take better care of themselves while caring for others. Any caregiver of an older adult is welcome to register. Caregivers will improve self-care practices and their ability to manage emotions as well as increase their confidence in coping with the demands of caregiving.
