September 19-24 is Falls Prevention Awareness week. It’s a great time to help the people in your network take steps to reduce their risk of falling and maintain their independence. Falls prevention is a community effort and everyone has a role to play in reducing the risk of falls.
Falls are common and they’re the number one source of injuries for older adults. The good news is they’re preventable. Attend one or all of these events during Falls Prevention Awareness week — you’ll reduce your chances of falling and learn how falls prevention classes can help you stay independent and feel your best.
