The Mental Health and Older Adult Services Roundtable is proud to host a presentation by members of the Twin Cities Suicide Prevention Coalition to introduce you to their Military Healthcare Toolkit.
As we all know, the suicide rate among older adults and veterans is unacceptable. While the media may focus on veterans and suicide as something unrelated to aging services, many of us who work with veterans understand the difficulties many veterans face as they age. Many relive trauma from 50-70 years ago, sometimes simultaneously dealing with memory loss.
This Toolkit is designed to help those supporting veterans to understand military culture, issues and resources so you can better serve them.
